Vastu-Compliant Interior Design for NCR Apartments

Many homeowners in NCR housing societies ask about incorporating Vastu principles into their renovation plans. Here's how to align traditional guidance with modern flat layouts.

Kitchen Placement and Colours

The kitchen is ideally positioned in the south-east corner. If that isn't structurally possible in your layout, warm-toned cabinets (terracotta, warm oak) and adequate task lighting can create a positive energy flow.

Master Bedroom Considerations

A south-west placement for the master bedroom is considered optimal. For high-rise apartments where orientation is fixed, a solid headboard against the south or west wall is a practical adaptation.

Living Room Light and Flow

North and east-facing living rooms receive the most natural light — a significant Vastu plus. Enhance this with light-coloured sofas, mirrors on north walls, and indoor plants near east-facing windows.

False Ceiling and Heights

Vastu prefers even ceiling heights without heavy overhead beams. Modern false ceiling designs with recessed lighting at perimeter achieve a clean, uncluttered overhead plane — aligned with both Vastu and contemporary aesthetics.
